Domaine de Mourchon is considered by most, if not all, to be the leading producer in the highly esteemed Cotes-du-Rhone Village of 'Seguret'. The Mourchon vines are planted at high elevations on steep, terraced vineyards.
Here's The Wine Advocate's description of the 2012 'Tradition': "A blend of 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 10% Carignan, the 2012 Seguret Tradition is a deliciously Provencal red that's overflowing with notes of ripe currants, black raspberry, saddle leather, peppery herbs and lavender. Medium-bodied, juicy, fresh and with some edge to its tannin (there's a touch of dry rusticity here), enjoy this classic Seguret over the coming 3-4 years."
