One of our longtime “under the radar” reds at the shop is Château de Flaugergues, from the Languedoc. It consistently sells with little or no help from us, and deserves better.
Produced from a traditional blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre, it is full yet supple on the palate, with deep, intense, herb tinged, flavors of dark berries, a hint of licorice, and a mouth coating texture not unlike its cousins from Chateauneuf du Pape, which it certainly resembles.
