Is It Corked?
There's a good reason why restaurants pour out wines for you to taste. And it's not to see whether you like or dislike your choice; it's to find out if the wine is flawed. Unfortunately, a small percentage of wines are sealed with corks tainted by TCA (2,4,6-Trichloroanisole). Those wines are said to be "corked".
