A big, lush, juicy wine with loads of dark fruit. The nose is very aromatic with aromas blackberry and dried fruits literally jumping our of the glass! On the palate there's mouth-filling dark fruit and cherry leading to a long finish accented by fine tannins. The wine spends six months in French and American oak, which is just the right amount to provide an slight accent of vanilla, cinnamon, other spices.
This is one of those wines that tastes like it should cost far more than it does. It came from one of the prestigious DOs, such as Ribero del Duero, it could easily be priced as $20 or more.
