History:The Fattoria di Basciano was bought by the Masi family in 1932. The medieval building complex has recently undergone moderate restoration in the course of which the original architectural structures came to light (portals, architraves, walls...). In the Fifties, the old mixed vines were substituted with specialized varieties and then replaced with intensive-style vineyards around 1990, under the supervision of Paolo Masi. The enological buildings were created by Paolo Masi (the young agronomist's grandfather) and extended after the Second World War - and, again, recently - by his son, Renzo, who brought the production plant to its present size.
