History:Joseph Barthélémy Viennet acquired the Château de Raissac on the 15th of July 1828, 9 years later, through mariage the farm "Puech Cocut" on the top of the above hill became Raissac's wine cellars.

Thus, for almost two hundred years the Viennet's have grown wine at Raissac. Today, Christine and Jean Viennet contribute to the artistic life of the Domain while their children Cécile and Gustave continue the Art of making wine.

The Raissac vineyards today cover 96 hectares including 11 different grape varieties. This diversity allows the wine makers to compose wines of great personality, character and quality. Over two thirds of the estate is concentrated on the red varieties. The other part concerns the white varieties although Chardonnay is predominant.

Château de Raissac produces yearly approx 600 000 bottles and assures the total control of vinification - breeding and embotTél. :ing to ensure the best quality.
