Wine/Beer Clubs
A number of Wine Clubs have sprung up recently, most notably from the New York Times, Zagat and the Wall Street Journal. My staff and I are intrigued by the Wine Club concept and are energized to implement one, in a different way.
Here are some important things to consider before joining any wine club. Do they offer concise, comprehensible tasting notes that correspond to your perception of each wine. Does the Club have someone with whom you can discuss the offerings? If you love a wine received, or find one not to your taste, is there someone with whom you can speak? Will they care?
I have been in the wine business, both retail and wholesale, for very nearly 50 years. My reputation as a Fine Wine purveyor is on the line with our selections. I will personally oversee all of the selections that my staff and I present.
